Christine Marie and Doug Smith

Our story is quite unique. We didn't set out to be top real estate agents. Christine Marie has a formal degree in Interior Design from a top design school. From an early age she dreamed of designing incredible spaces. Doug, on the other hand, was a lending and banking executive for more than 25 years. Both had extensive backgrounds in real estate.
When the real estate market showed signs of crashing in the mid-2000s, Doug left banking and formed a private equity company that worked to solve issues stemming from the foreclosure crisis. Christine joined the firm designing all of the firm's rehabs and guiding the contractors to create spaces that made buyers clamor to purchase the properties. The business grew, but we had one major issue...it struggled to find great, experienced real estate agents to represent the business.

Frustrated, Christine Marie decided to step into the role of also selling the properties that the company owned. It turns out that she was amazing at it. Customers soon blew up her phone with unsolicited requests to assist them in not only finding residential or commercial properties, but also to assist with the professional design of the projects. Investors and buyers filled her calendar to the point where Doug stepped in to help as well. They found that it was incredibly satisfying to help buyers find the properties of their dreams and the practice only grew from there.

Christine Marie and Doug toyed with the idea of bringing on more agents to grow the practice, but they realized that the personal relationship they developed with their clients would suffer. They prefer to build deep friendships with their clients and repeat clients referrals have become the way that they gain most of their business.
